Psalm 146

open arms

Praise your God - speak about who He is and all that He means to you - speak out His Word and tell of His mighty deeds. He is the Lord and highly to be praised and in that praising you will experience His presence. God inhabits the praises of His people - when you praise there He will be!

Praise your God - do not put your trust in people who will perish - speak about Him to those around you - not about their individual sins but about their spiritual condition. They are separated from the living God and cannot get to Him no matter how they try - no matter how they determine to live by their idea of a moral and ethical code. They are separated from the great and mighty and holy and loving God because they refuse to cry out to Him, to trust in His provision of a Saviour - to bow their knee and come to Him in repentance and faith.

Praise your God aloud - tell of all that He has done for you - speak of His majesty and His power - speak out your own testimony of how He has come into your life and transformed you - of how He has promised that He will complete what He began in you and how He has promised that one day you will be like Christ - O glorious day when you and I will be forever glorious in Him!

Praise your God - speak aloud all that He is and all the He has made possible for every human being in Christ Jesus. Speak about His redemption and forgiveness and His protection and love that are found in Christ. Tell those around you that He is calling to them every day, holding out His hand - wanting none to perish but all to come to repentance. Do not try to make them better people, or tell them all they ought to be doing - simply tell them that He is there and the He loves and that He cares and that in coming to Him they will find rest for their soul and a refuge in this storm.

Praise your God for who He is - the great and mighty Creator of all things - the God who was and who is and who will ever be. Praise your God that His truth never fails - who alone is able to open blind eyes and set you free from the ties that bind you; who alone can bring peace into troubled waters and joy into times of great trial. Praise your God and put your trust in Him who protects and guards and keeps all those who call upon the name of the Lord - who preserves and and maintains and establishes those who come to Him.

Praise your God who will bring you physically into His glorious presence for you to see His face and know - know this day - that He is for you, this God is FOR you - trust in Him, lean on Him, call to Him, receive from Him and praise His holy name.
